Ministry Appoints Interim GM For ADMARC

The Ministry of Agriculture Thursday seconded its Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Services, Dr. Jerome Chim’gonda Nkhoma, to Agriculture, Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC) to serve as its new interim General Manager.

The development follows the institution’s board of directors’ decision to suspend the General Manager, Rhino Chiphiko in relation to his procurement of a motor vehicle worth MK107 million.

According to a Thursday Press Release signed by Secretary for Agriculture, Sandram Maweru, the ministry has seconded Dr .Jerome Chim’gonda Nkhoma as an interim General Manager for the institution until matters surrounding the suspension are dealt with.

Reads the letter “The Ministry of Agriculture wishes to notify the general public that it has seconded Dr. Jerome Chim’gonda Nkhoma, the Director for the Department of Agriculture Extension Services, to ADMARD as interim general manager effective today 26th May 2022 until all issues surrounding the suspension of the current General Manager are resolved by the Board.”

ADMARC Board of Directors suspended its Manager, Rhino Chiphiko on 20th May for purchasing a MK107 million official vehicle. Chiphiko’s move comes at a time when ADMARC is struggling financially.
