IK, Vimbai to Host AMVC Awards

With the highly-anticipated AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) on March 9 just two weeks away, it has been confirmed that charismatic Big Brother Africa presenter IK Osakioduwa and gorgeous StarGist leading lady Vimbai Mutinhiri will host the first ever award ceremony!
A statement from Multichoice says the two were chosen because their experience and passion for the African entertainment scene.
“IK’s cool, calm professionalism combined with his effortless charm is clearly a benefit during busy live broadcasts while the always optimistic and stylish Vimbai’s enthusiasm for lifestyle programming makes her the ideal co-host for what we are confident will be a glittering ceremony,” reads the statement.
Speaking on her role at the AMVCAs, Vimbai said she was honored and excited to be part of the biggest initiative in the African film and television industry.
“I feel there is no better way to pay homage to the outstanding stars we have on this continent than to be a part of the grand occasion to honour each one of them. I am sincerely humbled,” said Zimbabwean VImbai, who first shot to fame as a housemate on Big Brother Amplifiedand is now a co-host of hot celeb and showbiz program StarGist.
Meanwhile popular Nigerian personality IK is equally proud and pleased with his AMVCA role as well.
“It's a really big deal when you think about it. It's the first time AfricaMagic is doing anything like this. This is going to grow really huge over the years. So to be selected to be a part of the very first one is just amazing. “
The AfricaMagic Viewers’ Choice will be screened live to DStv and GOtv audiences on Saturday March 9 at 20:00 CAT on AfricaMagic, AfricaMagic Entertainment and AfricaMagic World as well as AfricaMagic Movies and Movies 1.—Zodiak Online
