Malawian Advocate to Head Regional Body

LILONGWE: A Malawian, Mr. Limbani Eliya Nsapato has been appointed to head the board of the African Network Campaign on Education for All (ANCEFA).
He has been serving as policy and advocacy manager at ANCEFA and has since confirmed taking over as its Regional Coordinator for the next six months.
A statement signed by board chairperson, Pastor Reinaldo Jorge Sive says the appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Gorgui Sow, who has served as Regional Coordinator for more than 13 years, since ANCEFA’s inception in 2000.
ANCEFA a regional group, which monitors and campaigns for the right to education in Africa, has a membership of National Education Coalitions from 35 countries in Africa.
The statement adds that the board will make arrangements that Mr. Nsapato, currently based in Lusaka, carry out some of his duties from the headquarters in Senegal.—Zodiak Online
