Three girl whiz kids are being awarded at a ceremony taking place at Ludzi Girls Secondary School in Mchinji district, central Malawi.
Malawi First Lady Madam Callista Chimombo is guest of honor at the occasion, herself, a former student of Ludzi Girls Secondary School.

The government of Malawi admits poor follow-up mechanism in the implementation of the Malawi and Zambia cooperation agreement.
Foreign Affairs minister Professor Eta Banda said this on Thursday March 25 at the formal start of the Malawi/Zambia Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation meeting in the commercial capital, Blantyre.

A government water board in Southern Malawi has blamed limited budgetary allocation as a reason leading to its poor service delivery that has seen residents going without portable water.
Regional water development officer Mr. Swithern Matamula made the claim on Tuesday when the minister of Irrigation and Water Development visited regional water offices and Blantyre Water board.

The increase in numbers of urban youths spending their time on the internet in Malawi has spurred the introduction of a social network as a platform to help them fight the spread of HIV and AIDS.
Now through website IFEYO.com, youth in Malawi can access information on pertinent issues such as HIV and AIDS, culture and technological advancement.

Government is currently printing Braille for blind students in Malawi to counter problems of increasing shortage of teaching and learning materials for the blind in Malawi.
The problem was particularly big in secondary schools.
