5 Billion Kwacha Needed for Archival Storage Building

The National Records and Archive Services says it needs about 5 Billion kwacha to construct a purpose built archival structure for effective keeping of archival collections as some collections are being stored below minimum storage conditions.

The institution's Director Dr. Paul Lihoma says the department planned to have the structure operational by end of this year, but they only managed to identify a land for the facility and still searching for funds to commence actual construction.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Lost History Foundation Conleith Serenje has urged authorities to ensure funds are allocated for the facility.
