The official handover ceremony was a momentous occasion attended by key representatives from both Tutla and MAFCO FC.
During his speech at the ceremony, Ishaq Tutla, spoke passionately about the company's commitment to promoting football in Malawi. He emphasized how sports, especially football, has the power to bring communities together and inspire the youth to excel in their chosen path.

“We are always happy to see MAFCO FC succeed and will always try our best to support the team so that the players can concentrate on their work on the pitch and not worry about equipment.

Meanwhile, Ishaq also made an announcement that he wishes to start a football competition for under 14 in Salima to create a nursery for MAFCO FC which is the only Super League team representing Salima.

"We believe in nurturing talent and supporting our local heroes. MAFCO FC has been a symbol of excellence in the Super League, and we are honored to be part of their journey. These boots are a token of our commitment to the development of football in Malawi," said Tutla.

In response, MAFCO FC's chairperson Captain Cydrick Allan Chisale, expressed his gratitude for Tutla's generous donation. He highlighted the significance of quality football boots in the performance of professional athletes and how this gesture from Tutla would undoubtedly boost the team's competitiveness.

“As MAFCO FC we are extremely happy with the support from TUTLA. It's not the first time TUTLA is supporting MAFCO FC. Usually in all our games and trainings we obtain bottled water from TUTLA and this time around the company wanted to make it big to motivate the boys to work harder.

We do not take this support for granted. It will boost the team’s morale for us to fight and stay in the league and also win some of the cups that we are involved in if not all,” said Captain Chisale.

Tutla's donation is not just about sports; it's about making a positive impact on the community. By equipping MAFCO FC with top-notch football boots, Tutla is indirectly inspiring young talents in Malawi.

The MDF outfit is currently seating 14th on the 2023 TNM Super League standings with 25 points from 22 games.
