Medical Aid Society of Malawi (MASM) has partnered with Mybucks Banking Corporation to scale up convenient mobile banking in the wake of COVID 19.

MASM Chief Commercial Officer, Bernard Ambali, told the media in Blantyre on Tuesday that with the current pandemic situation, it is imperative to promote more innovative ways to transact business in the convenience of people’s homes and offices.

“Considering the current Covid 19 situation, there is a need for more innovative ways of doing business,” said Ambali.

Ambali then encouraged Malawians to make full use of this payment platform as the country continues to observe COVID 19 preventive measures.

Mybucks Head of Retail and Small and medium Enterprises, Mayamiko Kalizang’oma, said the partnership with MASM is in line with the bank’s key strategic intent and purpose.

“We have agreed to simplify payment of MASM subscriptions by coming up with a more flexible mobile banking platform for the citizens,” said Kalizang’oma.

MASM Chief Commercial Officer, Bernard Ambali, is hopeful that the agreement with Mybucks will assist more Malawians to adhere to covid 19 guidelines as people will utilize the technology to transact business in safe places.

Mybucks has 17 branches, 150 agents and 30 ATMs across the country offering a full range of banking products and services.
