MTL’s Chief Commercial Officer, Gladson Kuyeri, said this on Friday night in Blantyre at an event the company engaged various players in the private sector to introduce their transition to 4G network.
“We are introducing to our customers this corporate data service, offering enterprise solutions for firms as we have moved out technology from WiMAX to LTE and this event was for them to appreciate the service on offer,” said Kuyeri.
He added, customers will be accessing the technology on routers and all smart gadgets that are Simard enabled with unlimited and uncapped data service plans.
Speaking at random checks, business captains who accessed the service on trial welcomed the facility.
MTL officials also took time to assure the corporates that the company is not going anywhere, amid fears its parent company, Press Corporation Limited (PCL) is selling its 80 percent stake in the company.
MTL says it has struck a deal with Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority to pay outstanding its mobile service operating license fees which it owes communications regulator by June-July 2023.
