Twenty-one young men out of 140 have failed to travel to Israel due to Visa and other logistical challenges.

Managing director for the recruitment agency Workers for Arava Farmers Justice Kangulu confirmed the development to Zodiak at the Kamuzu International Airport during the departure of 119 people to Israel on Wednesday.

"We made all necessary paper for the 119 young men and the ongoing initiative is adding value to the country's economy," Kangulu said.

One of the young people traveling to the middle east country, Terence Kalemba, from Blantyre has described the opportunity as key in empowering him economically after being jobless for some years.

Kalemba from Blantyre who dropped out at Soche technical due to financial challenges has described the initiative as key in addressing unemployment rate among the youth.

According to the mid-term budget review statement Malawi targets to export 10 000 to 15 000 employees over the next five years to Israel and other countries.
