Apostolic Worshippers Abandoned
BLANTYRE: Well wishers had to intervene to rescue over 600 members of Twelve Apostles Church abandoned without food for two days in Ndirande Township in Blantyre over the weekend.
The members were rendered destitute after their church leaders vanished into the air after a conference.
Reverend Anthony Robert from Mozambique confirmed to Zodiak Online that organizers of the conference disappeared and left the members without food and accommodation.
“I can confirm that this indeed happened and it had to take some chiefs and concerned vendors to hunt for the leaders who later contributed money to buy food for the members,” said Reverend Banda.
Reverend Robert said the authorities contributed over 70,000 kwacha which he said was used for food and transport to ferry the members back home.
