Six Killed After Burying Bingu

Six supporters of the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party were killed in a road accident on Tuesday in Nsanje on their way home from Thyolo where they attended burial of President Bingu wa Mutharika.

Five died on the spot at Phokera along the Khulubvi highway, one died at hospital while 26 others have sustained injuries and are receiving treatment from the district hospital.

Nsanje police Officer in-charge Assistant Commissioner Sekani Tembo told Zodiak online that the vehicle, registration number MG 741V (SF 554, had 51 people on board including the driver, Mr Phillip David Mkwinyambale.

He confirmed that the vehicle was coming from Ndata farm in Thyolo where the DPP supporters went to bury late Mutharika.

“The vehicle was coming from the President’s funeral and five died on the spot, one at hospital and 26 people sustained injuries. It is believed that the vehicle was over speeding,” said Assistant Commissioner Tembo.

He said the driver is likely to be charged with reckless driving.  - Zodiak Online

@ naa ndi Ngondo, ngati mwasowa chokamba, don't be sarcastic, this is not an issue to be sarcastic about.
Zoona a Malawi tiyeni tigwirizane in wishing each other well and preventing future losses of lives.
let's not use dirty tricks to fight our battles, not even cracking down our political enemies inorder to make ourselves strong. Ngati this tendency does not stop, just know kuti JEHENA ikudikira. We are just passing in this world, and our time is limited. Aliyense lake likubwera, no matter how much power she/he amasses in this world, Aliyense lake LIDZAFIKA!
Aliyense akuzidziwa mumtima ndi njira zake, let us stop our evils ways and do good.
MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD BLESS and SAVE MALAWI. MAY WE ALL MALAWIANS LOOK INTO OUR HEARTs AND SOW LOVE AND CONSTRUCTION.

amen.

We need to pray for this thing to get out of us as we all wish to see Malawi progressing going ahead with what Late Bingu taught us to use our resources for the good of all.

God grant Malawi Mercy and may you guide us all!

Lord We are your children.

Amen...

Tiyeni tipempherere a Malawi wonse for protection against all unseen forces.

What's happening?

People should freely be able to participate in politics and any other associations without having to pay the ultimate price for their participation.

This is not freedom.

Whatever is taking these lives, let us join hands and pray against this force.
READ BETWEEN THE LINES.
