Karonga United Coaches, Players Demand Dues

A time bomb is ticking at Karonga United where the technical panel and players are now talking publicly about their frustrations that they are not being paid.

Coaches and players claim the club owes them three games salary arrears and bonuses.

The development is likely to impact negatively on the team's ambition to earn promotion into the Airtel Top 8 Cup.

Karonga United FC Head Coach Daniel Dzinkambani and Club Captain William Bwetu Mwalwimba said today that the delays to pay the salaries and game bonuses has also affected their socio-economic well being.

They observe that some of them are failing to fend for their families and paying rentals.

However, the club's Acting General Secretary, Ramzy Simwaka, says all is being done to source money to pay the players and coaches early December.

Finances have lately been a big problem in most community teams that are playing in the elite league.
