Kalepa Hoist MW flag High in UK During Launch of Ndizaimba Album
Electric musical performances characterized the launch of "Ndizayimba" album launch by gospel musician Levysai Kalepa at Sol House, right in the heart of the city of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Musicians Wiza Kaunda, Zimbabwean artist Nathan Chikwama and Matamando Nkukupa Maneya supported Kalepa with captivating performances that mesmerized the audience who demanded more.
Kalepa becomes the first Malawian to have defied the odds and break the ground while setting the pace for music in diaspora by launching her album in the UK.
She told Zodiak Online that the launch was patronized not only by Malawians based in the UK but also many others from the UK and beyond.
She added that she will be launching the album in Malawi soon.
“Having launched the Ndizayimba album in the UK, plans are in the pipeline to launch it in Malawi.
Response that we got was so encouraging and it is our sincere hope that this music ministry will go beyond borders” said Kalepa
Kalepa, who is married to Malawian, Reverend Aubrey Kalepa of Bury Living Waters Church is both a songwriter and worshipper and her career dates back when she was 8.
Kalepa’s other popular songs include Ndidzayimba, Come and See, Muwadalitse and When I Call among others.
The album was bought at different prices by the patrons of the launch.
