SRH Providers Aim High on Service Delivery

Organizations that provide sexual reproductive health systems have bemoaned lack of sexual reproductive health services in evacuation camps, saying it will fuel unwanted pregnancies among women and girls.

One of the organizations, Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM), whose Public Relations Officer, Faith Kadzanja, says due to the current situation, people who are in camps are failing to access necessary sexual reproductive health services.

She has revealed that her organization will introduce mobile clinics in the affected districts.

"These sexual reproductive health services are very essential to people, especially women and girls you are in evacuation camps," said Kadzanja.

Executive Director for White Ribbon Alliance, Hester Nyasulu, has called on other organizations to promote sexual education messages to women and young people, as they are vulnerable to contracting sexual transmitted infections.

"Most of our people in camps are women and young people, we have the responsibility to take sexual education to these people, if we want to protect them from unwanted pregnancies and STI's," said Nyasulu.
