The Centre for Social Concern (CfSC) has warned that maize prices in the country could double in the next three months unless government urgently intervenes.

The price of maize continues rising as vendors are taking advantage of closure of ADMARC depots to sell the staple food to thousands of Malawians at exorbitant prices.

There has been a sudden jump of maize prices in some markets in Mulanje district.
