The Mangochi First Grade Magistrate's Court on February 21, 2023 convicted and sentenced Richard Lameck, 22 and Friday Dickson, 23, each to 3 months imprisonment with hard labor for requesting to buy a human placenta from a nurse at Malombe Health Centre.

All have paid the fines and authorities have repatriated them to Mozambique
