Bishop Brighton Malasa has called upon all women to vaccinate their children against Polio, and Covid-19 which he said have far reaching consequences to human life.
Head of preventive health for Balaka District Hospital (DHO) Blessings Chitsime, says all eighteen health facilities in the district have registered a good number of vaccinated under5 children which is above 64% of the figure being recorded daily.

As mass polio vaccination exercises will start administering Polio vaccines to children under the age of five from Monday to Thursday, Machinga district health office has set a target of 138 730 children with the exercise.
The Ministry of Health says it targets to reach out to over 1.8 million under five children across the country with injectable polio vaccine in a campaign which will be carried out from July 12th to July 16th this year.
