Sale of Airtel Shares Closing January 31st

The 20 per cent share market for prospective Airtel Malawi shareholders comes to an end Friday, 31st January 2020.
Airtel Malawi Chief Executive Officer, Charles Kamoto, told Zodiak Online on Wednesday that announcement of all successful shareholders shall be made on Tuesday 14th February 2020.
At the moment, Kamoto says, Airtel Malawi is satisfied with the overwhelming response that the call attracted.
“Last day of application is…on 31st January 2020 and on 11 February they will submit results of the offer to the Malawi Stock Exchange committee,” said Kamoto.
Airtel Malawi begun selling the shares on 27th December 2019 at 12 kwacha 69 Tambala per share.
“We decided to sell 20 percent of our shares to allow Malawians own a part of the telecommunication provider,” he said.
Airtel Malawi says it has over four million subscribers at the moment.
