Old Mutual Life Assurance Company, on Tuesday, sponsored the annual event with K1 million, barely days after Britam Insurance Company provided K1.5 million towards the same event.
Managing Director for Old Mutual Malawi Limited, Roy Punungwe, said they are proud to be associated with key professional partner, IIM.
Punungwe commended the Institute for efforts in ensuring continued cordial relationship between the two insurance families.
“It remains a key platform that both our studying members and qualified members to further develop their capabilities, keep informed, expand networks as insurers and gain recognition as engaged professionals.
“We believe this sponsorship will go a long way in bringing us, insurance players, together to network, motivate upcoming professionals and recognize achievers in our industry,” he said.
IIM Vice President, Masautso Malaicha, who was all smiles for the gesture, assured the partners of accountability on the funds being donated towards the dinner.
He expressed hope that with the donations, the event will be colorful and memorable, while calling on members who have not paid their fees to do so for prosperity of the event.
“There is a committee handling these donations. We are going to make a presentation of how we have used the funds. They should be assured that the funds will reach the intended purpose,” he said.
Malaicha said preparations are at an advanced stage now, saying “we are just doing final touches. All is well.
“On Saturday, 29th February the dinner is on and we should expect all people who have been invited to be there to witness all the event s that will take place,’ he said.
