NICO Group on Thursday unveiled two refurbished houses; NICO House which was razed down by fire in 2018 in Blantyre and Kapeni House.

The Group has spent K2.1 billion Kwacha in refurbishing NICO House and K700 million for Kapeni House.

Chifundo Chiundira, NICO Group Operations Executive Officer, says the new buildings are milestone in their service to the people.

“We are here celebrating 50 years anniversary because of the support we get from our clients. Our clients should expect a lot from us than what we have given them before.

“NICO House in Blantyre has been a flagship for us because that is where all our businesses are. NICO Life, NICO Pensions, NICO General and NBS Bank have been operating from there. This is very important because our clients will be getting all these services from one place,” he said.

Blantyre City Mayor, Wild Ndipo, said that the opening of the two houses has changed the landscape of the city.

“We want a regenerated city. City with beautiful buildings like this. I urge all other companies and property owners to emulate this gesture. I really commend NICO Group for these structures,” he said.
