Community College Students Bemoan Exam Results Delay

Naminjiwa Community Technical College students in Phalombe have taken a swipe at authorities for delaying to release results of examination written in December 2018.

Speaking to Zodiak Online Thursday, the students said the delay is impacting on them negatively as they are failing to secure jobs and establish businesses.

The students said the college has released another time table for the level one and two examination before releasing the first results.

Technical Vocational Entrepreneurial and Training Authority (TEVETA) Publicist, Lewis Msasa, said the despite being the critical partner, it has no mandate to comment on the development.

However, when contacted, ministry of labour, skills and innovations spokesperson, Christina Mkutumula, asked for more time before commenting on the development.

Government of Malawi launched the Community Technical colleges (CTC) program in 2015 with the aim to offer life-changing technical, vocational and entrepreneurial skills to school leavers.
