Diarrhea Hits Phalombe TTC

Classes were disrupted at Phalombe Teacher Training College on Friday after over 70 students opened bowels for eating stale beef.

The College Principal, Elias Chilenje, said persistent power cuts have contributed to the problem.

According to the students, they started noticing that the food which they were given was not good for human consumption on Sunday.

They said after reporting to the authorities about the stale beef, nothing changed until when they were given the same stuff which affected over 70 students at the college.

"The company which offers catering services to the college has for several times disappointed the students through provision of poor food," said the students.

The concerned students said some students were suspended last term after complaining about poor diet at the College.
