"I am still in pain, though they are giving me medication things are not changing, am failing to walk, sit and am finding problems to urinate," said Kadammanja.

Civil Society organizations in the district have since told us they are not surprised with the alleged police behavior in the district.

According to chairperson for Mzimba south NGO network Teckson Amadu police in the district are also on record to have beaten up an under aged teenage girl leading to the loss of her two months pregnancy.

"It’s quiet shocking that police is still acting in a barbaric way as it has been observed, they should realize that what they are doing is human rights violation and atrocities against citizens and we as CSO family , we cannot afford to see and watch these things happening without doing anything,"said Amadu.

Mzimba police spokesperson Sub inspector Peter Botha asked for more time before commenting on the matter.

"Will come back to you as now am collecting information to do with the case of the young man," said Botha.

Police are yet to conclude another case in which some officers are being accused of beating a teenage girl leading to the loss of her two months pregnancy.
