Orphaned and vulnerable children at Lusubiro orphan care in Karonga had a rare moment on Thursday when Citizen for Transformation Movement made a donation of maize of 63 bags flour to the institution.

Citizen for Transformation Movement Leader Timothy Mtambo said being a person who is very passionate for children and coming from a child development background felt obliged to make such a donation so as to make sure that children are being fed on daily basis.

Mtambo who is also known as Commander In-Chief lashed out at government for forcing people to confess of being tested positive of coronavirus to justify order for lockdown saying with or without corona elections will still take place.

"As CFT we will continue holding government accountable in a quest to address social and economic challenges rocking the country," said Mtambo.

The Commander In-Chief also challenged government to provide details of people who have been tested positive of the global pandemic.

But,Ministry of Health Spokesperson Joshua Malango says it will be unethical to disclose details of a patient unless there is a consent from family members.

"We are bound by medical ethics not to reveal identities of a patient," said Malango.

On his part,Lusubiro Orphan Care Director Vitumbiko Ngwira hailed the political movement for the gesture saying it is in line with the organizations vision of improving the welfare of orphaned children and adults.
