As the third wave of the  covid-19 pandemic  is looming in the country, a local organization called Mulelewaka Foundation has started providing psychosocial support to  students in Nkhatabay following reports that some parents are providing false information to their children about the pandemic.

Executive Director for the organization Dustain Chunda has told Zodiak Online, that they want 100 percent of Malawians to have the right information regarding the  covid-19 pandemic.

`` We want a generation that should have true information. Not only about  Covid19 but also other social issues”, says Chunda.

The Foundation has started sensitizing students at Mgodi Primary School in Nkhatabay who bolted from classes after seeing a vehicle which they suspected to be on Covid-19 vaccination assignment.

The idea to hold the activity stems from a video clip that went viral in March, this year.

Says Chunda, `` there is an information gap about the pandemic which needs to be bridged”.

Meanwhile, Mulelewaka Foundation has partnered with Citizens for Transformation Movement whose Commander in Chief is the Minister of Civic Education and National Unity Timothy Mtambo.

Mtambo says people are resisting information which the government and its partners are giving them on covid-19.

``We will not stop giving out the information that will help them. This is for their own good." says Mtambo.

The two organisations also donated PPEs, building materials, wheel chairs to some disabled children to able them go to school among other support.
