The incident occurred at Champhira Friday evening.

Superintendent Hans Katumbi of Jenda police said other than confirm the killing, he had sketchy details of the incident.

There is a spate of blood-suckers-rumors in Mzimba district, especially on the border with Zambia where recently there were reports of gassing attacks that also killed some people.

Reacting to the rumours, some peoples in Mzimba have taken to destroying property of people suspected to be involved in the said malpractice.

Ironically no single death has been attributed to blood sucking in the area.
