ACB's Principal Public Education Officer, Catherine Nkhoma, told Zodiak Online that corrupt practices are still surfacing due to what she sees as reluctance in behavior change among citizenry.

"Corruption in the country remains a challenge and will remain there if not properly checked," said Nkhoma.

However, Nkhoma believes commitment from different stakeholders like faith leaders has potential in addressing the vice.

She said this Wednesday in Ntcheu as ACB continues to familiarize the National Anti-Corruption Strategy II of 2019 to stakeholders.

While acknowledging the issue at hand, Vice Chairperson for Ntcheu Pastor's Fraternal, Reverend James Mandawala, feels faith leaders are key in addressing the problem.

"We leave and preach to people that are into corrupt practices a thing which needs God's intervention," said Reverend Mandawala.

The National Anti-Corruption Strategy II which runs from 2019 to 2024, aims at supporting good governance and eradicating corruption in the country.
