The Malawi Police Service ( MPS) has made a court application to revoke a bail that was granted to social media activist Joshua Chisa Mbele alleging that is violating bail conditions through his Facebook posts.

Deputy National Police Spokesperson Harry Namwaza, has confirmed to Zodiak Online saying Mbele is not adhering to the bail conditions hence the court application.

"We have noted with concern that Mr. Chisa Mbele is not complying with the bail conditions and we pushing the matter to court this coming Thursday," Namwaza explained.

But his Lawyer Gilbert Khonyongwa stresses that his client has not violated any of the bail conditions.

"We feel our client has not infringed rights of anyone with his recent Facebook posts but we will wait for a court determination in the matter this coming Thursday," Khonyongwa said.

Mbele was arrested early this year following his Facebook post of a fake document that had a list of names of top government officials allegedly connected with corrupt suspect Zuneth.
