Development stakeholders have been asked to provide unwavering support towards the realization of the Malawi 2063 by inspiring others to take ownership in the implementation of the country's vision.

National Planning Commission (NPC) Director General Thomas Munthali, made the call on Tuesday in Lilongwe during the official opening of a day long training workshop for NICE District Cordinators on Mw2063 and Mindset change.

"We need to facilitate evidence-based development plans and overseeing their implementation remains key in achieving the Malawi 2063 aspirations," he said.

Concurring with Munthali, Director of Information Chikumbutso Mtumodzi emphasised that the district Coordinators are key players in the capacity building exercise.

"The Malawi 2063 agenda belongs to Malawians and we need to empower various development stakeholders like the District cordinators to realise this big dream," Mtumodzi said.

On his part NICE Trust Executive Director Ollen Mwaluwunju challenged the participants to refrain from corrupt practices to realise Malawi 2063 vision.

Last year President Lazarus Chakwera launched the Malawi 2063 with an aim of transforming from a least developed country into an upper middle-class economy in the next 42 years.
