HUAWEI Commits to Bring Digital Transformation For All
President of Huawei in Sub-Saharan Africa Region, Leo Chen, says they are committed to bring digital tansformation to every person; home and organization in Africa.
He disclosed this during Africa’s largest technology conference that took place at the Cape Town International Conference Centre from 7 to 11 November, 2022.
"We have set up four innovation centres in Africa already. We will support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and we will also train 100 000 digital champions in Africa over the next three years," said Chen.
He delivered a presentation entitled "Lighting up the Future with Nonstop Innovation" at this event that was attended by African operators, industry elites, and opinion leaders .
Chen outlined Huawei’s latest ICT development concepts and successful digital transformation solutions.
“The high resilience and rapid growth of the continent’s digital economy, technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and cloud are evolving rapidly and the adoption of ICT in a wide range of industries is growing,”
“We are supporting Africa in advancing the technical revolution, boosting productivity and increasing jobs,” said Chen.
Meanwhile, Malawi’s Principal Secretary of E -government in the ministry of information and digitalization Francis Bisika has commended huawei for supporting african countries .
Bisika said the national data centre that malawi government has established in Blantyre with support from Huawei is helping a lot.
Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices.
