MANEB to Administer PSLCE exams in Ten Schools

The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) says it has received six more applications to administer differed exams for standard 8 candidates whose examination fees were embezzled by their school authorities.

MANEB executive director Proffesor Dorothy Nampota, has told Zodiak Online that the development follows their call to schools to provide specific details of the candidates that failed to seat for examinations.

She says with the new applications they will the differed examinations in ten affected this month end.

"We will follow the same security conditions in all the examination centres to avoid compromising the process," Nampota added.

Mzuzu University based education expert Dr. Lydia Kishindo Mafuta is however calling upon MANEB officials to administer with strict guidelines.

"Most of the times differed exams are not taken seriously so MANEB need to embrace the existing exam measures," Mafuta said.

According to MANEB the differed Examinations will be administered from 28th to 30th June 2023 and the time table has been sent to district education managers.
