Three-day Program Promises Good News!

In a world where bad news endlessly streams on social media, TV and radio, three-day live events open to the public will deliver only good news!

One of the largest convention organizations in the world returns to Lilongwe with a much-anticipated motivational program to comfort and encourage the public.

Jehovah’s Witnesses started to present their 2024 “Declare the Good News”! convention series beginning the weekend of June 21, 2024. The free events are expected to draw more than 80 thousand attendees to the city over the course of 15 weekends—fueling the city’s economy with local spending at stores, hotels, and restaurants.

“We are excited to work once again with city officials of Lilongwe to host our conventions,” said Gift Thakwalakwa, local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “These conventions are a highlight of the year for thousands of people who need to experience some positivity in their lives, and we are happy to enjoy the program once again in this welcoming and hospitable city.”

The “Declare the Good News”! convention will present Bible-based videos, discourses and interviews on topics such as: Why Do We Need Good News?; Why We Don’t Fear Bad News; “Hold Firmly to the Good News”—Why and How?

Saturday spotlights a baptism of candidates from surrounding communities, while a two-part video feature entitled The Good News According to Jesus will captivate the audience on Friday and Saturday mornings. Prior to each convention, local congregations will engage in a campaign to invite community members to this free event.

One of the largest organizers of global conventions will once again draw thousands to Lilongwe.

Last year, 326, 840 people attended the conventions in Malawi, and nearly 13 million people attended more than 6,000 three-day conventions worldwide.

Tthe Declare the Good News”! 2024 convention series presented by Jehovah’s Witnesses will be held from June 21 to September 29, 2024 at Assembly Centers of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It is a free-of-charge event.
