The School’s wildlife matron, Jeniffer Kaula, said 150 trees have been planted and will use the school’s wildlife club to take good care of the trees for survival.

“The trees will protect our school blocks from heavy winds and storms. They will also provide us with fresh and fruits of course because we have mixed varieties of the tree.

“We feel the initiative will help the state president to fulfil his goals of mitigating climate change in the country since he launched the tree planting season recently,” she said.

The school’s Head Girl, Laiza Bokosi, said the decision to plant the trees will help the students with their learning as sometimes they need examples in their lessons.

“The trees are of different categories. Some produce fruits and some are in our syllabus. Students will be able to see with their eyes types of trees they want to during lesson within reach.

“On top of providing us with fresh air, the trees will also help to beautify our school,” she said.
