Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has urged center supervisors in Balaka Liwawadzi ward not to use tippex or any correction fluid in March 5th by-election to ensure credible results.

MEC Commissioner, Moffat Banda, made the plea on Saturday after training of 21 center supervisors who will oversee the election.

People are to vote for another ward councilor following death of Thomson Bwanali in October last year.

"They should learn to follow instructions so as not to compromise results as was the case in May 2019 polls where results were affected,” he said.

Commissioner Banda said people should not lose trust in MEC, saying they will work efficiently as they did in May 21st tripartite elections.
