Over K40 million Stolen at Mulanje CCAP

At least K46 million is reported to have gone missing at Mulanje CCAP Presbytery headquartered at Mulanje Mission CCAP Church.

Mulanje police spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira, told Zodiak Online, that Presbytery Clerk, Reverend Kumbani, reported to police about the missing funds.

“After investigations, we arrested the presbytery treasurer, Edward Kamuyango, and charged him with theft by servant,” said Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira.

He said Kamuyango will be taken to court to answer the charge.

When contacted, Presbytery Clerk Reverend Kumbani referred us to Blantyre CCAP Synod General Secretary Reverend Dr. Billy Gama who also referred us back to Reverend Kumbani.

The presbytery has got 68 churches.
