A teacher at Nazarene Mission Secondary School in Blantyre has written a questions and answers history book for junior secondary school students after noting how students struggle with the subject.

Samule Ntambalika says he has been teaching history for a long time and decided to gather questions and areas that are more examinable by the Malawi National Examinations Board and composed the book.

Mtambalika says the overwhelming response he is getting from various schools indicates the importance of the book.

“I decided to use the syllabus to compose the questions and find their answers to help the students who struggle with the subject to digest the content easily for their education.

“I checked the previous question paper by MANEB and I noted there were more questions related to the book.  Some people are encouraging me to write another book for senior classes because they have seen the importance of the book,” Mtambalika said.

According to Mtambalika, the book was edited by a Chancellor College lecturer, Dr. Hermann Yokoniya Mvula, and was published by Book Mate Publishers in Blantyre last year.

Mtambalika said the book is being used in a number of secondary schools and is being requested by many schools.

“I urge teachers and students across the country to use the book. It is an important book. Scholars have recommended the book,” he said.

He said he is planning to consult CLAIM Mabuku for further distribution of the book.
