Mangochi Police Public Relations Officer, Inspector Rodrick Maida, who confirmed to Zodiak Tuesday about the incident, said they are still investigating the cause of the fire.
“According to a driver at the resort, it was around 2130 hours on Saturday. while sleeping within the resort, he heard villagers shouting and when he came out of his room, he saw the restaurant, kitchen, warehouse and bar up in fire,” said Maida.
He said items such as fridges, one Plasma TV screen, four water pumps and two big speakers among others were damaged.
