Projects officer for the development arm in the diocese Victor Mlelemba says this has been possible under a three year Church and Community Integration Project, supported by United Society Partners for the Gospel (USPG) of the United Kingdom.

Mlelemba says this is an effort to complement government effort in ensuring food security.

"We are distributing fertilizer and seed to 250 households under a three year church and integrated project," says Mlelemba.

Fanny Witness of STA Phalula was all smiles after receiving the farm inputs from Anglican Church saying this will assist her fight food insecurity at her household level.

"With good rains, I am optimistic that the seed and fertilizer received will assist me harvest enough and be food secure next year," said Witness.

Beneficiaries are randomly identified regardless of their denomination.
