Five people have won bibles and smartphones in the ongoing Bible Society of Malawi (BSM)’s Jireh Bible House Fundraiser competition.

Of the five, three have won Chichewa and English bibles each while the rest have won German-made smartphones.

Chairperson for the fundraiser committee, Dr. Rabson Mgawi, says the initiative aims at raising funds for construction project of the Bible House in Lilongwe.

“We are expecting to raise K1 billion for this project. Once completed, this house will help us raising funds through rentals.

“However, economic hardships orchestrated by COVID-19 has affected the initiative; but so far so good,” he said.

Mayamiko Zainga, Sebbie Chisanga and Alfred Lungu won the bibles whilst Pastor Alberto Bornface and one Kachingwe won the smartphones.

The competition’s grand prize winner will go away with a Mercedes Benz car.
