Ministry Spokesperson, Anjoya Kanyalika Mwanza, said the Chief, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Mulibwanji Community Hospital in the district after a battle with hypertension and kidney failure.

She said the chief who was born on 1st January 1958, as Lingamasa Yakiti, was elevated to his position in December 2019.

According to Kanyalika Mwanza, the departed Chief has left 2 wives

and 17 children.

Burial for STA Mkumba, who is the 11th chief to die this year alone, will take place tomorrow.
