Mulanje Police Recover Seven Stolen Motorcycles

Police in Mulanje have recovered seven motorcycles and other assorted items suspected to have been stolen the past few months.

Mulanje Police Spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira, says four men have since been arrested in connection to the theft.

“The past few months we registered a number of breaking offence and in our investigations on the night 8-9th March 2021 we recovered seven motorcycles, two DVD players, one laptop and other assorted items at Mayaka in Zomba district and in the process, we also arrested four men suspected to be behind this theft,” said Ngwira.

The four are Wyson Mphepo and Thokozani Joe from Mulanje and Chifundo Zipangani and Elias Matemba from Zomba.

Ngwira said the four are yet to be charged.

Meanwhile police are advising people whose property was stolen recently to go to Mulanje police station and identify their property.
