Ministry of Local Government spokesperson, Anjoya Kanyalika Mwanza, has confirmed today.

According to Kanyalika Mwanza, Traditonal Authority Ntonda, whose real name was John Changamire, died yesterday at his home after a battle with cancer.

The Chief who died aged 99, was elevated to Sub T/A in 2013 and then promoted to the T/A in 2019.

He is survived by 17 children and 50 grandchildren.

According to the ministry, burial of the remains of departed Traditional Authority Ntonda, will take place on Saturday, 29th May, 2021 at his Ntonda Headquarters in the district.
