New Moderator Bids Farewell to Balaka CCAP to Lead Blantyre Synod

Riviridzi presbytery of the CCAP Blantyre synod says it is confident that it is sending the right person to lead the synod in the name of Reverend Edina Navaya, who was decommissioned on Sunday from Balaka church.

Clerk for Rivilidzi presbytery Reverend Samuel Magalasi said on Sunday after the decommissioning service that Reverend Navaya managed well Balaka CCAP, which is one of the biggest congregations and they have no doubt that she will capably manage the synod with support from God.

Blantyre Synod moderator Reverend Edina Navaya said support and prayers of the Christians play a vital role in her ministry and believe the same will help her in the new role.

In August last year, the clergy elected Reverend Edina Navaya of Balaka CCAP which is under Riviridzi presbytery, as moderator for CCAP Blantyre synod.

Riviridzi presbytery clerk Reverend Samuel Magalasi says they are glad to produce another moderator to run the affairs of the Synod, and are hopeful that they have fielded the best.

Balaka CCAP session clerk Eunice Botoman says they are also optimistic that the moderator will run the affairs of the synod knowing the caliber of the person they have been with.

In her farewell remarks, Reverend Edina Navaya asked for all Christians in Blantyre synod to keep supporting her so that she should lead the Synod in line with God's will.
