Thyolo Police Officer In-Charge, Ulemu Kalua, has told Zodiak today, that the robbers tampered with the machine, but they failed to steal anything.

"Let me assure you that they tried to steal, but they haven't managed to steal. Only that they have tampered with the machine housing. But everything is intact," Kalua said.

Meanwhile, Kalua says the robbers did not harm any guard during the incident.

He also added: "this is not the first time, they came last year, but they failed. The other year too".

FDH bank Spokesperson, Ronard Chimchere, needed time to find out on the incident.

The development comes barely days after some robbers also broken into a residence in the district where they stole window frames before killing the security guard.
