MCP Women's League in Mulanje Strengthen the Party at Grass Root

The MCP women's league-Mulanje Chapter says it is on the move strengthening the party at grass root level in the district.

Within two months, the women's league has conducted meetings in the three constituencies of Mulanje Central, Limbuli and Mulanje South East.

The league's chairperson Mrs. Chrissy Kanzingeni told Zodiak Online that they are still giving President Chakwera a benefit of doubt that he and his government will turn around the economy of the country.

“We are meeting our leaders at branch, area and constituency level and assure them that the president and his government are working tirelessly to bring the country’s economy on track, said Kanzingeni.

Mathambi Area Chairperson Mr. Liwanda Nkolimbo said though they are receiving all sorts of insults from opposition leaders, they are still behind the party.

We have hope that one day, things will be better and as for the skyrocketing of prices of goods, no one should cheat us that it is because of President Chakwera because our neighbors in Mozambique are feeling the same pain, said Nkolimbo.

Youth league chairperson for Mulanje South East Constituency Chisomo Seyani said she expects President Chakwera to visit the constituency and assure the constituents of his transformative programs.

In all their meetings, the MCP women have been distributing items such as soap, sugar and salt to vulnerable people who include the elderly, orphans and persons with disabilities.
