Maranatha Academy has awarded three best students from St. Patrick’s, Mary Mount and Zomba secondary schools with K500, 000 each who scored six points the previous year during the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination.

The three are Osborne Lawani, Eureka Whisky and Thabiso Chokocha respectively.

The Academy also decorated its alumnus, Francis Christopher, with K1 million to support his studies at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.

Those who scored well during mock examination also went away with cash honors.

Maranatha Academy Managing Director, Dr Ernest Kaonga, emphasized the need to invest in the youth.

“We are also implementing government’s efforts to build the better tomorrow through education,” he said.

The recognition event was held last Friday at Golden Peacock in Blantyre during a graduation ceremony for the class of 2021/22 ahead of its MSCE examinations slated for 30 August, 2022.
