Two More Nabbed for Alleged Kidnapping

Barely a fortnight after Limbe Police arrested two men for allegedly kidnapping an eight-year-old boy in Kanjedza, Blantyre, two more suspects have been netted.

Limbe police spokesperson Patrick Mussa has identified the two as Stephano Damison, 38, from Nlapa Village, T/A Juma in Mulanje and David Nkhata, 47, from Walemela Village, T/A  Kampingosibale in Mzimba.

The kidnapped boy was found abandoned in the same location on September 13 this year.

The two have been charged with kidnapping, according to Mussa and will appear in court soon.

Mussa alleges that the two together with other suspects John Mapunda, 47, and Isaac Bokosi, 54, who were arrested earlier on 8th September 2022, abducted the boy 100 meters away from his house as he was coming from a school with his sister.

They apparently sought a ramson to free the boy.

The police have advised people to desist from undertaking such acts.
