ACB’s Senior Public Relations Manager, Egrita Ndala, has told Zodiak Online on Thursday that beneficiaries must report any suspicious activity for the Bureau’s action.

Ndala said the bureau has already reached beneficiaries of this year’s Affordable Inputs Programmme (AIP) with messages concerning corruption towards the initiative.

"We want to warn service providers and non-beneficiaries that they should desist corrupt practices, failing which, they will face the wrath of the law," said Ndala.

Centre for Social Accountability and Transparency (CSAT) executive director, Willy Kambwandira, says they will partner with ACB through its toll free-line to ensure the initiative benefit bonafide beneficiaries.

He said: "CSAT is geared to ensure intended beneficiaries buy affordable farm inputs this farming season and we are asking people help in reporting any suspicious activity towards the initiative,"

The 2021/2022 Affordable Input Program (AIP) was marred by myriad of challenges ranging from beneficiaries being told pay extra on set prices access the inputs and service providers redeeming inputs without the knowledge of beneficiaries.
