2022 MSCE Results to be Out Soon - MANEB
The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) says it is in the final touches to release the 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination results.
The Board's public relations officer, Mayamiko Chiwaya has told Zodiak Online on Tuesday, that "we are doing the final processes and the results will be released as soon as they are ready".
Some stakeholders have raised concerns that the delay to release the 2022 MSCE results is likely to disturb preparations for those who would like to re-take after failing the exams.
This year's MSCE examinations were written in September.
However, Mzuzu University educationist, Dr. Foster Lungu while applauding MANEB for reducing the longer delays in the recent years, says there is still room for more improvement by digitalising the systems without compromising its integrity such as, having test bank.
"According to my observation, there has been an improvement, we have had longer delays in the past. So we should appreciate that MANEB has done its best to improve on that by reducing the turn-around time. However, more can be done to improve systems and review the processes involved while ensuring that quality assurance is intact", Dr. Lungu said.
This year, 152, 589 candidates sat for the MSCE examinations up by 19.4 percent of last year's 123,008 candidates.
