The Bureau’s Spokesperson, Egrita Ndala, told Zodiak Online on Friday that workload and logistical challenges have contributed to the delay.

However, Ndala said the Bureau is committed to ensure the cases are concluded.

One of the disgruntled youths in Phalombe, Thomson Sam, says youths in the district are following the issue with keen interest to ensure justice prevails.

"We will wait until the outcome of investigations are released," he said.

Chairperson for National Alliance against Corruption, Moses Mkandawire, says there is need for adequate resources for the bureau to execute its operations effectively.

In September last year, a grouping of some disgruntled youths in Phalombe lodged complaints with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) accusing Phalombe district council of hiring under qualified support staff, nepotism among others.
